By creating an account or using this site, you agree to these terms.

Accounts

• You must be at least 18, or have a parent/guardian's consent, to create an account or buy anything here.
• One account per person. Don't impersonate someone else or misrepresent who you are.
• Your account is protected by your password, which also encrypts your messaging key client-side (see Privacy Policy) — keep it somewhere safe. We can't recover it for you if you lose both your password and your recovery code.
• We can suspend or terminate an account for fraud, abuse of the messaging system (below), a bad-faith chargeback or payment dispute, or a real violation of these terms. We'll tell you why where we reasonably can.

Messaging — acceptable use

Our encrypted messaging exists to talk about a purchase, an order, or support — not general chat, solicitation, or advertising.

Not allowed: threats, harassment, illegal content, or attempts to defraud us or another user.

The honest limit on enforcing this: messages are end-to-end encrypted — we can't read content, so we can't proactively monitor for abuse. If something crosses a line, tell us what happened (as much as you're able to without needing to hand over message content) and we'll act on it.

Using the site

• Don't scrape it, attempt unauthorized access, or try to defeat its security.
• The site is provided as-is. We try to keep it accurate and available, but don't guarantee uptime or that it's error-free.
• Listing photos are of the actual unit being sold, not stock/representative images.

Intellectual property

The Obsidian Devices name, logo, and site content are ours. Buying a device doesn't give you any license to our brand — though it does give you the device itself, outright, to do what you want with.

Payment

Checkout is via PayPal or direct-to-wallet cryptocurrency — no card details are ever handled or stored by us directly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE — to be finalized], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
